More Than a Netball Club. We’re a Community
Every club has a story.
Ours began with a group of determined parents who refused to let netball opportunities disappear for their daughters.
When Sacred Heart Primary and High School advised in 1993 that the existing netball club would no longer continue, those families saw an opportunity rather than an obstacle. Instead of accepting the end of an era, they came together to create something new.
They build a club founded on passion, community and opportunity.
Sorrento Saints Netball Club was born.
In 1994, Sorrento Saints proudly became an officially registered independent netball club, opening its door to players from across the community and beginning the journey that continues today.
Built on Family. Driven by Excellence
More than 30 year later, Sorrento Saints has grown into one of the largest and most respected clubs within WDNA.
While we’ve grown in size, we’ve never lost sight of what makes us special.
We pride ourselves on being a welcoming, inclusive and family-oriented club where every member is valued – whether they’re putting on a Saints dress for the very first time or representing our club at the highest levels of the sport.
At Saints, success isn’t measured solely by premierships. It’s measured by confidence built, friendships formed, leaders developed and the lifelong love of netball created along the way.
Developing the Next Generation
One of our greatest achievements is the pathway we’ve created for our members.
For over three decades, Sorrento Saints has proudly developed:
- Athletes who have represented their association, state and Australia in competitions such as the Association Championships, West Australian Netball League and State School Girls Cup.
- Umpires who have officiated at association level and state level
- Coaches who have progressed through the accreditation pathways and represented at association, state and elite competitions including Association Championships, West Australian Netball League and Australian Men’s & Mixed Netball (AMMNA)
These achievements are a reflection of our commitment to developing not only talented athletes, but exceptional people.

A Place for Everyone
Today, Sorrento Saints proudly has teams across all junior (12&U – 18&U) and senior age groups (Opens).
From our youngest netballers, having to compete for premiership points for the first time, to our senior athletes competing each weekend, every member plays an important role in shaping the culture that makes Saints so special.
