Information 2020

Well we are well and truly coming to the end of 2019.

Yesterday 16th November your committee and members held their forward planning meeting and some of the things we discussed are already in place and others I will be letting you know about in this notice.

First of all, thank you to those who have replied to the survey Monkey request – a whole 33 of you. It is really important that we get as many replies as possible because we use your feedback when we are making decisions on events, coaching, grading etc. If there are problems that we do not know about, we can’t fix them so please take this opportunity to complete the survey and send us through your thoughts and suggestions.
Just in case you can’t find the original email I sent out with the link, here it is again: Survey Monkey

## Grading is a complex procedure. Prior to you arriving for grading your grading committee would have already re-read the coaches assessments of players from the previous season. We then do a paper grade according to the assessment results. Each court will have an independent selector as well as a current coach so that they is some familiarity with players ability and not just based with ‘on the day’ performance because as we all know, we can have off days too.

As a selector we are looking for certain things but one point I need to make is that under no circumstance do we ever grade on height, it is always on performance, position suitability, development, ability to take on constructive assessment and strategic thought. It may seem that height is a factor if you see players lined up on the sideline but what in fact is happening is that we have asked players to line up in their preferred playing positions.

BOOTCAMP
Yes, Bootcamp is back and it is COMPULSORY as it forms part of your fee structure.
Bootcamp will be conducted on the oval that is opposite the netball courts (where the cricket nets are). Clare (Justice Fit) is your instructor and she is a hard task master who will be making sure that you are running, jumping, squatting, lifting. In other words, getting you physically ready for a great season of netball.
Wear comfortable training clothes and shoes. Arrive 10 minutes before the start as you will need to mark your name off on the attendance list.
